Abstract

This work was made to solve the questions that arise between musicians, both nationals musicians as foreign musicians, about “renaissance” of black ancestry’s Music of the twentieth century in Peru. This “renaissance” has served as a reference and motivation present to the active musicians, included professional musicians who just star their career. The present study also aims, to highlight the influence of one of the Afro-cuban rhythmic formulas known as the key (and its variations) in musical genres and dance genres of black ascendancy (Afro-peruvian) of Peru’s coast.
